Louisville’s Federal Bureau of Investigation facility is comprised of a three-story office building, two-story secured parking garage, and associated annex. Each element is set within the required 100-foot security perimeter.  The office building consists of approximately 108,000 square feet of space around a centrally located 3-story atrium. Entrance to the secured parking garage is possible from two floors. The facility also includes a staff lounge and secured outdoor terrace. The architects design carefully balanced progressive collapse specifications with sustainable daylighting and light shelf elements.  Completed in the Fall of 2008, the facility achieved a Silver LEED rating.
