Chavez-Grieves is providing full-service structural design services for this 3-Phase project for the Puyallup Tribe of Indians that will consist of approximately 51,000 square feet when fully completed. Phase I of the project, which is in construction, is an approximately 22,000 square foot Correctional Facility that consist of detention, administrative, and indoor and outdoor multi-purpose facilities. The Phase I site area has an approximately 30 foot drop over the 2.75 acre site. This requires that the Phase I building be designed to sit against a severe slope in order to allow space for the Phase II and Phase III buildings. This required and extensive site retaining wall design for Phase I. Phase II and III will consist of a 12,354 square foot Police Operations and Public Safety building and a 16,868 square foot Tribal Courts building respectively.
